The measurement of position & displacement of physical objects is essential for many applications. Position sensors are static devices whose speed response usually is not critical for performance. The MOMC position sensor is magnetically operated position sensor which senses the magnetic field. The sensor has multiple contacts in series and parallel, which give benefit of locating the exact position of magnetic field producing element. The principle of working of MOMC position sensor is based on characteristic of reed. The specially chosen reed is an electronic element which conducts an electric current whenever it kept in magnetic field i.e. magnetic field produces a potential difference across the reed. The MOMC position sensor has health check facility with an appropriate rated coil provided into the sensor. Whenever an electric current passes through the coil it produces magnetic field across the coil. |
